Hydrocortisone

Hydrocortisone is a hormone produced in the adrenal glands. Without sufficient levels of this hormone, the body’s ability to handle stressful situations. Including fighting infections and illness. If you are constantly getting sick one cold after another with longer than normal recovery times, with constant exhaustion, you may be low in hydrocortisone.
The body produces about 40 mg a day from the adrenal glands. When deficient in this, physiologic doses of 10-20 mg will allow the persons adrenals to begin to function again.
I believe that imbalanced adrenals are the precursor to thyroid problems. If only our western medical world addressed these issues, there would be less thyroid disease. There are medical doctors who do treat the endocrine system in its entirety. The proper doctor along with a good clinical nutritionist can get you back on track and keep your energy good, your weight balanced, and hopefully sufficient sleep.
