Aromatherapy – Blends

Let us continue with some favorites in my medicine cabinet.
Chamomile – German and Roman chamomile. These are both excellent for the nervous system and insomnia. It is antibacterial, disinfectant, and is great for inflammation such as arthritis. It is great for children to help them calm down when ill.  Either a couple of drops in a bath or a diffuser in the bedroom. Beware of chamomile Maroc. Not a therapeutic or safe essential oil.
Eucalyptus – Best known for its treatment against bronchial, coughing and colds. Also anti-inflammatory,  antibacterial, antibiotic, analgesic, antiviral, deodorizing and diuretic. Also a great insect repellent.
Geranium – Infused not from the flower geranium the Pelargonium “lemon plant”. Awesome for skin care, menopause, blood disorders, diabetes, and a great sedative for the nerves.
Rosemary – This oil is great for all muscular conditions. Arthritis, fatigue, headaches, diabetes, flu, memory loss, and depression. Great in beauty treatments for hair, acne and cellulite.
Make your own first aid spray with any of these. Eight drops of essential oil to 4oz water. Shake well. If you want to blend any of these oils, blend in a dropper bottle. Shake well and then add 8 drops of blend to water.
So many great stress blends. I will give one blend. Take a dropper bottle and mix 2 drops each of lavender, ylang ylang, geranium, and bergamot. Shake well and add to 4 oz of water or carrier oil such as grapeseed or almond oil.
Happy times!!!
